STICK CURLING

STICK CURLING CLINIC

The Virden Curling Club will be sponsoring a clinic on the use of a “throwing stick” to propel the rock down the ice. The use of the “stick” has become very popular among seniors as a way to continue to play the game they enjoy.

People who are new to the game or haven’t played in years are now able to take up the game and play with success. “Stick Bonspiels” are being held across Canada with Provincial and Canadian Championships ( Russ Howard represented New Brunswick last year).

Check out the “Stick Curling website at www.stickcurling.ca

• Thurs. January 29th at 10:00am at the Virden Curling Club
• Throwing sticks will be provided for the clinic
