A big congratulations go out to our current and former members who have been successful in reaching their provincial playdowns this winter.
The Erin Renard team from Virden which included Megan Anderson, Courtney Chapman, and Caitlin Sparwood competed in the Junior Ladies playdowns out of Virden, along with April Jorgensen of Cromer who played with the Danielle Wood rink from Brandon. Congrats also to Branden Jorgensen of Cromer for competing in the Junior Mens Provincials out of the Brandon Curling Club with the Joey Witherspoon rink.
Well done to former Virdenite Darcy Hayward and good luck in the upcoming Safeway Championship after winning your zone with the Kelly Skinner rink out of Hamiota. To any I may have missed, I apologize.
Thanks to Jim and Pat Lyons for their hard work organizing the Senior Mixed spiel on January 23 and January 24. What would we do without you Jim?
Continued thanks to our wonderful rink staff of Doug and Deb McLellan, George and Kevin Barkley, Ethel Karwandy, Karla Gardiner and Darla Hayward. The place would fall down without your extra efforts, much appreciated by the board and I'm sure by the members.
Members, any problems please don't be afraid to speak with anyone on our board which includes, Darwin Walker, Karen Forster, John Corbey, Wayne Williams, Jan Marie Jorgensen, Jim Lyons, Danny Pierrard and myself.
