Virden curling club meetings were held on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 31st and April 1st, to discuss the new Virden Community Complex and where the curling rink fits into the plan.

Cory Barkley and the club Directors, along with Rhonda Stewart and Jeff McConnell, filled the club members in on the proposed new complex. On Tuesday night, close to 50 members came out to learn more.

MARCH 31st - THE ICE IS COMING OUT

A number of people came out on Tuesday night to skate on the curling rink ice, before it melts. Geordie has turned the plant off and the curling season is officially over.
There is some urgency to get the ice out and the rink warm and dry, as the Manitoba Teachers association are holding a 30 team hockey tournament the weekend of April 18th. The curling rink will be transformed into a Beer gardens for the event.
